I have a secret….

Join the gym! Take the time to connect with you. I had been sitting around for awhile until I finally decided to get off by butt and do something about these extra pounds I have picked up by doing nothing other than sitting and watching the grove tube. Not to mention that when I visited the doctors office and got on the scales I realized I had gain weight. Well no wonder I felt lousy and tired all the time oh yes and stiff as a board. Week one at the gym it was slow for me but I was there and gave it lots of effort! My workout was stretching out really good before getting into my workout then with some light weights doing 20 repetitions of 3 sets of various routines. Then some cardio on the Precor with a smooth and natural movement as in climbing steps, did this starting out at 20 minutes. Then riding the stationary bike for 20 minutes getting my heart rate up starting at 111 BPM, now in week 3 I am on a roll, stretching out is more of a breeze now, and the weights are hurting as much and my cardio is picking up 130-140 BPM as I now have music to listen to. And depending on the artist I am listening to will determine my heart rate ie. Amber can get it up to 140 real fast lol. I didn’t use my IPOD the first couple of weeks because I wanted to connect mind and body without music to focus 100 percent on my muscle groups being worked. I feel great more so than what I did three weeks ago, I am out of that slump and I plan to make this an everyday event because I need this for me, to feel good and not to feel stiff as it did hurt to get off the couch literally cause I had been sitting for so long. Now if I sit I try to get up every 15 minutes or so just to move around. I find the most important thing to do is to stretch out really good it feels really great. My gig is Stretch to get loose, weights for tone, and cardio to get you going! I am not hear to promote Planet Fitness but I will say I just joined this gym so that I could belong to a fitness center and in love it! So, hey it’s time to get off the couch and start feeling good about yourself, don’t worry about how big or how small you are it’s all about exercising your body and feeling good about you, and don’t worry about how long it will take to get your mojo back the fact is that it will come in time. Love yourself and live life the fullest! So with all this being said lets do this! Happy exercising! It works yes it does.
